Starting her journalist career in 1993, Ms Leila CHAN has been covering sustainability issues including waste, urban farming, ageing and palliative care in the community. Her bestselling books Food Waste and Death in Hong Kong won the Hong Kong Book Prize in 2012 and 2014 respectively. Her book series Rest In Peace Hong Kong: caring and choices was honoured with the Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Awards.
In 2015, Leila co-founded the Big Silver Community to mobilise our society to continuously innovate, experiment on and refine solutions related to ageing through solutions journalism.

Professor Alice CHONG is an outstanding scholar, researcher and practitioner in social gerontology, having been the Senior Researcher of the Labour and Welfare Bureau (2019-2022); an academic in the City University of Hong Kong (CityU) (1991-2019), and a social worker and manager in NGOs (1976-1991). She was awarded 60 research grants, and has published over 90 academic articles and presented over 80 conference papers.
Prof. Chong participates actively in community services, including NGOs boards and government advisory committees, and was the Founding President of the Hong Kong Association of Schools of Social Work. She was awarded the Medal of Honor by the Government, as well as the Teaching Excellence Award by CityU and the University Grant Committee.
Dr Cissy YU is a specialist in Community Medicine. She is an Honorary Associate Professor of Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong, Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, Fellow of the Australian College of Health Service Management, and Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Health Service Executives.
She is the founding President of the Hong Kong Women Doctors’ Association and Chairman of the Hong Kong Women Doctors’ Association Charitable Foundation. She founded Supreme Care Ltd and International Healthcare Institute.

Mrs Sandy LAW graduated from Social Work Department of The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1973. She then worked in the Social Welfare Department, H.K. S.K.H. Welfare Council and H.K.S.K.H. Holy Carpenter Church Social Service for altogether 34 years. During the last 17 years in the NGO setting, Mrs. Law was mainly responsible for supervision of elderly community service, implementation of pilot projects and development of home care service for the elderly. Since her retirement in 2011, Mrs. Law continued to serve in various service management committees. In the family, Mrs. Law has to share responsibilities in caring for her aged parents. Therefore, she has an understanding of the needs of carers.
