Golden Age Foundation and the Urban Renewal Authority co-organized "URA Community Service Partnership Scheme" has been launched. Several energetic and kind-hearted Golden Buddy have already completed two training sessions, learning about private care homes, communication skills with the elderly, and how to operate with the "Dr. Golden". Each Golden Buddy has shown great enthusiasm and eagerness!

The Golden Buddy, along with a group of healthcare students, will plan future visit activities via Zoom meetings. Throughout the programme, there will be no fewer than three visit activities planned, all organized by healthcare students with the support of Golden Buddy. This programme aims to pass on wisdom through Golden Buddy to healthcare students, caregivers in care homes, and elderly residents, hoping to create some innovative activities through intergenerational learning, bringing laughter and joy to them. Additionally, the programme will involve an art team of disabled artists and elderly individuals painting together to bring joy and relaxation!

The programme has received significant recognition and accolades since its launch, including the "Innovative Organization Award - Small and Medium Enterprises Bronze Award" and the "Outstanding Social Innovation Award" from HKMA/HKT Global Innovation Awards 2024/25, as well as the "Prudential Hong KOng Excellence in Social Impact Innovation Special Award For Non-profit Organisations"
