Abstract
It is often challenging to engage different members of the community in caring for our elderly population as well as to ensure adequate participation from older adults. The three speakers of this symposium will share their experience in mobilizing community members to make eldercare a cause that everyone can contribute. Ms Ko Ming Hui will begin by introducing how time-banking helps organize volunteers in different neighborhoods to fill the gaps of elderly service and engage older adults of different capabilities in volunteering. Then, Ms Ally Lam will elaborate on the Jockey Club Caring Communities for Dementia Campaign, which connects citizens and enterprises through Bluetooth technologies to help locate wandering older adults. Lastly, Ms Vennus Ho from Kwong Yum Care Home will share how Project Reborn utilizes the idea of ‘Arts on Prescription’ to line up local artists with their multidisciplinary care team to reignite the vitality and creativity of their residents.

Abstract
With rising longevity and declining fertility, Hong Kong has become one of the cities with the most aged population. Such drastic demographic change will inevitably alter our current social policy and system which may bring tensions among generations. Back in 2002, The Madrid International Plan of Action on Aging has already stressed the importance of building solidarity among generations in an ageing society. Immediate actions from different sectors are urgently needed to build an inclusive society and avoid the risk of a ''generational war". In this session, leaders from multiple disciplines are invited to share their experience and insights of how to foster social inclusiveness through cross-sector collaboration and social innovation.
