The Future of Health and Social Care
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, community health has become a global concern. The concept of "medical-social partnership", "primary health care", psycho-psychiatric support and "prevention is better than cure" have been given more attention. In an aging society, health care is no longer just about patient care, but also about harmonious interaction between people and communities. Looking ahead to the post-pandemic era, what is the best way to treat community health problems? How can the medical and social sectors work together to maximize the impact? How can the government empower social welfare organizations and the community in the area of health care knowledge?

Dr. Ben Y.F. Fong
Associate Division Head, College of Professional and Continuing Education, Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Dr Ben Fong, a Specialist in Community Medicine, is the President of Hong Kong College of Community Health Practitioners. He is the Associate Division Head, Professor of Practice and Director of the Centre for Ageing and Healthcare Management Research at the College of Professional and Continuing Education of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In his professional career, he has served in public, private and university healthcare facilities both in Hong Kong and Sydney as well as private practice. He has served as the Director of University Health Service of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Medical Superintendent of Ruttonjee Hospital and Chief Hospital Manager of Union Hospital. He is also involved in teaching at the two local medical schools.
Prof. Vivian Taam Wong, JP
School of Chinese Medicine, University of Hong Kong
Prof Wong was the Chief Executive of Queen Mary Hospital and the Hospital Authority. She is an ardent promoter of health education with columns in various newspapers and radio podcasts.
Dr. Pamela Tin
Head of Healthcare & Social Development, Our Hong Kong Foundation
Dr Pamela Tin received her PhD from the School of Public Health at The University of Hong Kong. Dedicated to health systems and social development research, Dr Tin and her team at OHKF published the policy paper 'Fit for Purpose: A Health System for the 21st Century' in November 2018. The report was named 'Best Policy Study/Report Produced by a Think Tank' by the University of Pennsylvania Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program ‘2019 Global Go To Think Tank Index.’

Senior Project Manager, Resource & Corporate Planning, Wofoo Social Enterprises
Ms. Phoebe Wan manages a diverse portfolio of for-social-good projects at Wofoo Social Enterprises (WSE), all developed in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. She takes special interest in advancing issues relating to good Health and Happiness, actively involved in the design and formation of primary health projects, impact circles, and recently started a new Primary Healthcare Center called the Wellness Hub. One of the WSE sub-units she supervises - HK.WeCARE - also annually researches and produces happiness indexes on six demographic groups in Hong Kong. With ten years of experience in non-profit organisation management, social services development and philanthropy, her team has closely engaged many well-known institutions as partners and funders. She obtained her master’s degree in social worker and bachelor’s degree in music from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
