Background of the Award

TheSmart Ageing Award 2025aims to promote smart ageing in Asia by honoring leaders who have made innovative contributions in elderly care, sustainability, and cross-sector partnerships. It encourages professionals and entrepreneurs to create new solutions to shape a better future for ageing societies.

 

Categories of Award

Outstanding Leader:Recognizes visionary leaders who drive innovation and create significant impact in ageing-related sectors, including new services, products, sustainability efforts, and cross-sector collaborations.

Outstanding Organization:Honors businesses or projects that improve both the quality and dignity of life for golden-agers through excellent services, products, or initiatives, such as smart ageing technology, senior-friendly designs, or community support programs. These efforts contribute to building age-friendly cities and raising public awareness.

Date and Time Judging Method
April 14 – April 30, 2025

Nominations are to be recommended by the general public, previous awardees of the "Smart Ageing Leader Award 2024", Task Force Chairs and the Organising Committee Members of the Foundation. 

May 1 – May 14, 2025

The Foundation’s Board of Directors will conduct a preliminary screening to review the nominations

May 15 – May 30, 2025

A judging panel, comprising members of the Foundation’s Council and invited organizations, will make the final selection of award-winning individuals/organizations.

June 1 - June 26, 2025

Award acceptance details will be confirmed with the winning individuals/organizations

Category:Outstanding Leader

Criteria for Evaluation

  • Innovation: Demonstration of unique, forward-thinking vision in contributions.
  • Impact: Measurable improvement in seniors' quality of life and social impact.
  • Sustainability: Long-term viability and development potential of contributions.
  • Execution: Demonstrated implementation results and positive market reception.

 

Award Name Eligibility Criteria
Smart Ageing Global Star
  • A visionary leader with extensive influence and outstanding leadership in the sector of smart ageing.
  • Demonstrated success in promoting cross-regional or cross-sector collaboration to advance global smart ageing initiatives.
  • Proven track record of exceptional innovative contributions in smart ageing sectors, sustainable development, or cross-sector partnerships.

Innovative Ageing Care Champion

  • Has at least 5 years of outstanding leadership experience in the relevant sector.
  • Proposes and implements innovative solutions in elderly care services (e.g., home care, residential care services, etc.) to enhance golden-agers' quality of life.
  • Promotes the sustainable development of elderly care services and creates significant social impact."

Lifestyle Champion

  • Has at least 5 years of outstanding leadership experience in the relevant sector.
  • An innovative practitioner promoting stylish and modern lifestyles for the golden years 
  • Designs or promotes age-friendly, innovative products, services, or programs
  • Has made outstanding contributions to enhancing seniors' quality of life and well-being.

Wealth & Finance Champion

  • Has at least 5 years of outstanding leadership experience in the relevant sector.
  • Promotes innovative smart ageing-related Wealth & Finance solutions (e.g., retirement planning, senior insurance).
  • A Pioneers fintech applications in smart ageing to strengthen seniors' Wealth & Finance resilience and autonomy.

Age Friendly Community Champion

  • Has at least 5 years of hands-on community development experience.
  • Promotes age-friendly and innovative products or initiatives (e.g., urban design, community inclusion) in community development to enhance golden-agers' quality of life.
  • Fosters intergenerational inclusion and builds community participation and support networks.

Medical & Health Champion

  • Holds professional qualifications in the medical or healthcare sector and has at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Implements innovative solutions in the medical or healthcare sectors (e.g., hospitals, communities) to enhance elderly health management.
  • Promotes smart health technologies to improve seniors' quality of life.

Digital Champion

  • Has at least 5 years of professional experience in the digital technology sector.
  • Promotes innovative digital technology applications that foster digital inclusion for golden-agers. 
  • Develops or promotes age-friendly and innovative digital products or services that significantly improve seniors' daily lives.

 

Category:Outstanding Organization

Criteria for Evaluation

Award Name Eligibility Criteria

Golden Age Marketing Strategy Award(Enterprise)

  • The company must have more than 50 employees.
  • The company must have launched market-leading products, services, or initiatives in the smart ageing sector. These must demonstrate both substantial market success and measurable social impact. 
  • The initiative must be innovative, long-term sustainable, and demonstrably improve seniors' quality of life.
  • The company must submit reports covering at least two years (2022–2024) , with data and user testimonials demonstrating both market performance and social impact.

Golden Age Marketing Strategy Award(SME)

  • The company has 50 employees or fewer.
  • The company must have launched innovative smart ageing solutions (products, services, or initiatives) with proven market potential and industry recognition.
  • The solution must provide evidence of both market potential and sustainability.
  • The company must submit reports covering at least two years (2022–2024) , with data and user testimonials demonstrating both market performance and social impact.

Golden Age ESG Award(Enterprise)

  • The company must have 50 or more employees. 
  • The company must have launched innovative products, services, or initiatives in the smart ageing sector, demonstrating strong potential and a clear commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. For example: 
    • The products/services address real-world needs of target groups and provide tangible solutions.
    • The solutions incorporate eco-design elements, reflecting a commitment to environmental sustainability.
    • The company demonstrates a strong corporate culture, including transparent management (e.g., publishing ESG reports), enhanced corporate governance, and sustainable corporate values.
  • The solutions must demonstrate innovation and long-term sustainability, significantly improving quality of life for golden-agers. 
  • The company must submit reports covering at least two years (2022–2024) , with data or user testimonials to demonstrate market performance and social impact, with special focus on ESG achievements.

  • The company has 50 employees or fewer.
