‘Golden GO’ Programme Series: ‘Golden Shooter 2026’
As Hong Kong rapidly transitions into an aging society, an increasing number of individuals aged 45 and above are seeking a lifestyle beyond work that combines health with opportunities for personal growth.
In response to this trend, 'Golden GO' emerged with the aim to:
- Help 'Golden Agers' improve physical fitness, reduce the risk of disease, and delay the decline of bodily functions through regular exercise.。
- Establish stable social circles through group training and competitions to reduce feelings of isolation, while enhancing life satisfaction and a sense of purpose.
- Through systematic training and assistant instructor roles, provide participants the opportunity to transition into activity leaders, realizing the goal of "Unleashing Silver Productivity" and continuing to contribute to society.
"Golden Shooter" Competitive Shooting Training Course
The "Golden Shooter" Competitive Shooting Training Course, co-organized by the Golden Age Foundation and the Hong Kong Airsoft Competitive Shooting Institute, aims to provide an innovative activity combining health, social interaction, and retraining for the Golden Agers (individuals aged 45 and above). Starting in February 2025, participants can enhance cognitive abilities, acquire new skills, compete in matches, and have the opportunity to become assistant coaches. They can take on roles as planners and leaders in the shooting activities, guiding diverse community members to engage in this physically and mentally beneficial sport, fostering community vitality and connection, and achieving the goal of "unleashing silver productivity."
Program Objectives:
- Promote Prevention-Focused Health Management:By engaging in regular airsoft shooting and fitness training, we help Golden Agers stay physically and mentally fit—reducing health risks and embodying the principle that "prevention is better than cure."
- Foster Active Aging and Continuous Growth:Through accessible yet challenging sports, we help retirees maintain a sense of purpose and achievement, shifting from passive leisure to an active, growth-oriented lifestyle.
- Establish a Friendly Competitive and Social Platform:Offering tiered training and friendly matches, we provide a safe space for competition. This platform broadens social networks, fosters intergenerational connection, and strengthens community bonds.
- Cultivate Future Assistant Instructors and Leadership Roles:We offer advanced training for participants to transform into Assistant Instructors or Event Coordinators. This empowers them to lead, give back to the community, and prove that silver talent is a vital productive force.
