Social Inclusion through Multi-Disciplinary Efforts
Social Inclusion through Multi-Disciplinary Efforts
Abstract
With rising longevity and declining fertility, Hong Kong has become one of the cities with the most aged population. Such drastic demographic change will inevitably alter our current social policy and system which may bring tensions among generations. Back in 2002, The Madrid International Plan of Action on Aging has already stressed the importance of building solidarity among generations in an ageing society. Immediate actions from different sectors are urgently needed to build an inclusive society and avoid the risk of a ''generational war". In this session, leaders from multiple disciplines are invited to share their experience and insights of how to foster social inclusiveness through cross-sector collaboration and social innovation.
