Q: What are the dates and times for the 8th Golden Age Expo and Summit (2023)?

A: The 8th Golden Age Expo and Summit (2023) will be held for consecutive 3 days from 11 to 13 August 2023 (11:00 - 19:00) at hall 5G, the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre.

 

Q: Is the 8th GAES (2023) open to the public? Is there a charge?

A: The 8th GAES (2023) is open to the public to learn more and help us develop smart ageing cities. Admission is free of charge.

 

Q: How do I register to participate in the 8th GAES (2023)?

Q: How do I know my registration has been successful?

A: A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided once your registration has been successful. If you haven’t received a confirmation email, please check the junk mailbox in your email. You can also contact us by email at gaes2023@goldenage.foundation. Q: When will I receive a confirmation email after completing my registration online? A: You will receive a confirmation email as soon as you have completed your registration online. We will also send you an email reminder three days before the event's start date.

 

Q: How do I enter the expo and summit venue?

A: Please present your confirmation email and QR Code at the entrance of Hall 5G to get an admission ticket for entering the expo and summit.

 

Q: If typhoon Signal No. 8 or Black rainstorm signals are in force before/ during the event, will GAES continue to take place?

A: In case of adverse weather conditions, please pay attention to our website and social media for more special arrangements.

 

Q: Does the venue at the 8th GAES (2023) provide disability access? Are guide dogs allowed to enter the venue?

A: The expo and summit will be held at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre (HKCEC) which is equipped with barrier-free access. Guide dogs can also enter the venue. Wheelchair ramps are available for lifts with bigger capacity and all entrances and exits. Furthermore, tactile and braille maps and induction loop systems are available at the information centre at Harbour Road and Expo Drive entrances. Both entrances are also equipped with tactile guide paths. Accessible toilets and telephone booths at HKCEC and accessible parking spaces at both adjacent car parks are also available.

Q: What languages will the 8th GAES (2023) be held in?

A: The summit sessions will be conducted mainly in Cantonese, with some sessions conducted in English or Putonghua. Simultaneous interpretation services (English, Cantonese, and Putonghua) are available for designated summit sessions, and you can check the speech languages on the event schedule.

 

Q: How many people have participated in GAES?

A: Held in its 8th year, GAES has organised six previous editions and over 170 discussions. To increase the exchange and collaboration between local and overseas organisations, over 360 international speakers have been featured at GAES to share their ideas and experiences on smart ageing. The expo has also hosted over 440 participating organisations and attracted over 74,900 visitors.
