The “Generations of Love - Pledge of Love” project co-hosted by Golden Age Foundation (GAF) and Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation is to impart to the general public the message of love from generation to generation. It aims to encourage the individuals in the society to manifest love through actions in daily family lives. Through intergenerational activities, family ties can be strengthened; unity among members can be increased; integration of all ages and generations can be motivated.

Cross-Generation “Companion” Volunteer Training: Design Thinking Workshop
Our programme has successfully recruited over 300 golden agers and young people as cross-generation “companion” volunteers in the first stage. The first volunteer training workshop was held on April 16, providing design thinking training for over 70 young volunteers from Our Lady’s College. Through a series of activities such as role play, games and co-working space visit, students have opened up their horizons and increased their knowledge of social innovation and social enterprises. More importantly, they have built up empathy and have a better understanding of the difficulties and needs that people of different ages are facing. These are the basis of mutual understanding, communication and respect.
Cross-Generation "Companion" Volunteer Training: Eldpathy x Design Thinking Experiential Workshop
A fun-filled experiential workshop entitled "Eldpathy x Design Thinking" was held on May 25, 2019. By putting on elderly simulation suits and glasses that blurred their vision, participants were able to experience the physical and mental needs of the elderly. At the same time, they went through the “design thinking" process which helped them to change their mode of thinking and build up empathy. Participants were actively involved during the workshop. Over 90% of them were extremely satisfied or satisfied with this training.
The Cross Generation "Companion" volunteer training: Life Journey Centre Hall x "What Do You Know About After-Death Arrangements" Talk
Our Foundation organised the “Cross Generation Companion" volunteer training on 29 July. Both young and adult volunteers visited the Life Journey Centre Hall and attended a talk on "What Do You Know About After-Death Arrangements". Participants came from Our Lady's College, China Holiness Church Living Spirit College and MTR volunteers. Participants were actively involved during the workshop. They learnt about different stages of life and reflect on the meaning of life.
