"BOC Life 9th Golden Age Expo and Summit"was successfully held from August 2nd to 4th, 2024 at Hall 3FG of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. With the theme of 'Smart Ageing, Sustainability, Opportunities' the event brought together officials, businesses, the public, academia, and researchers from various sectors to seek solutions for the challenges of ageing.
This year's exhibition was the largest ever, with double the exhibition space compared to previous years, featuring over 200 booths. The total number of participants exceeded 40,000 for the first time, an 80% increase from the previous year, achieving outstanding results! The event featured 120 speakers from around the world and locally, distributed across the main summit forum, the BOC Smart Ageing Zone, and Smart Ageing Workshops. The continuous sharing covered a wide range of topics related to an ageing society, providing attendees with practical knowledge and inspiration.

The 9th Golden Age Expo and Summit - 'Gala Dinner' and the 'Smart Ageing Leaders Award' ceremony was successfully held on August 3rd. The evening witnessed an unprecedented gathering of about 300 guests who came together to witness the moment of the award presentation.
The banquet commenced with a welcoming speech by Ms. Lian Shunxiang, Co-Chairperson of the Gala Dinner Organizing Committee. The event featured Dr. William Smith, Chair of the United Nations NGO Committee on Ageing (New York), Mr. Sun Yuhon, Director of Labour and Welfare Bureau, and Ms. Ho Wing-yin, Director of Housing Bureau, who, led by Ms. Shao Yanning, Co-Chairperson of the Gala Dinner Organizing Committee, along with our President Rebecca, various committee members, steering committees from the Golden Age Academy, and winners of the 'Smart Ageing Leaders Award' raised their glasses in a toast, wishing for the smooth success of the banquet!
