Ms. Elsa Wong is the Managing Director at NEC Hong Kong Limited, responsible for Hong Kong, Macao, and GBA business. She has been working in the technology industry for over 25 years. She is deeply committed to bridging the digital divide and to empowering older adults and students with special needs. She was a pioneer in conducting research at the University in Australia on assistive technology for elderly people with Alzheimer's disease to enable them to live independently and improve their quality of life.
The past eight years have given her first-hand insight into how technology can change lives, especially those with dementia who feel excluded from the digital world. Whether it's helping a senior make their first video call to a loved one, teaching them how to access online healthcare services, or simply showing them how to enjoy digital hobbies, making technology approachable and meaningful.
She is a robotic engineer by training, and she understands that digital confidence doesn't happen overnight. She is committed to creating an environment where older adults feel comfortable exploring and learning.
