BOC Group Life Assurance Company Limited (BOC Life) has been serving the local market for decades. We have grown to be one of the top life insurance companies in Hong Kong, with a commitment of offering comprehensive services in life insurance, wealth management and retirement protection. As a life partner to address customers' needs, BOC Life published a white paper on ageing to gain insights into the demands and pain points of the elderly and their caregivers. We aim to build a "retirement expert" brand, leveraging the advantages of "Banking + Insurance" to create a "Financial + Non-financial" service model. This model offers high-quality retirement options for Hong Kong's elderly and their families, focusing on three key services: "sojourn, home-based, and institutional care". BOC Life collaborates with cross-sector partners to develop comprehensive retirement solutions that combine "integrated financial products + diverse retirement services", meeting clients' retirement needs throughout their life cycles.
On the product side, BOC Life actively innovates and optimises our insurance products, such as launching the income stream product "Income Joy Lifelong Insurance Plan" last year, which exceeded HK$1 billion in Annualized First Year Premiums within six months of its launch. On the service side, BOC Life introduced the "RetireCation" Experience Programme targeted at retirement life planning needs, with global sojourn as our point of entry to establish a cross-border retirement ecosystem. To address "early ageing risks", we launched professional services on cognitive impairment risk assessments and enduring powers of attorney (EPA) as entry points for home-based care services, solving the pain points and needs of the elderly and their caregivers.
BOC Life also collaborates with quality healthcare institutions in Hong Kong to provide "Insurance + Healthcare" cross-border integrated solutions. Meanwhile, we actively explore quality institutional resources for elderly care in the Greater Bay Area to enrich customers' choices of cross-border elderly care services throughout their life cycles. While leveraging the dynamics and advantages of a commercial entity, BOC Life upholds a sense of responsibility to continuously alleviate the challenges of an ageing society. Through establishing cross-sector collaborations, and offering proposals and strategies for Hong Kong's silver economy, we continue to contribute to promoting the growth of retirement services and related industries in Hong Kong.
