The Highly Anticipated「BOC Life 11th Golden Age Expo and Summit 2026」was successfully held from 31 July to 2 August 2026 at Halls 3FG of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Themed “Golden Age + Connect.Collaborate.Co-innovate”, the three-day event brought together over 200 exhibitors, more than 40 forums and workshops, and featured over 130 local and international speakers. Through cross-sector collaboration and innovative technologies, the Expo sought to address the opportunities and challenges of an ageing society and advance Hong Kong’s vision of becoming Asia’s leading smart-ageing city.
Visitor attendance this year exceeded 55,000, marking a substantial increase from the previous edition and generating a vibrant atmosphere. The Expo’s scale and content were comprehensively upgraded, highlighted by the launch of the new “Golden Age Bazaar”, which showcased over 10,000 innovative products and services across six key areas: retirement wealth planning, healthcare and wellness, smart-ageing technology, culture and recreation, elder-friendly housing and communities, and elderly care services. This one-stop platform catered to the diverse needs of golden-age living and attracted enthusiastic participation from the public across generations.
Grand Opening Ceremony: Leaders from Government and Business Gather in Force
We were honoured to have Mr Algernon YAU, JP, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, The Government of the HKSAR as our Guest of Honour. In his address, Mr Algernon YAU, JP remarked that “The ‘Golden Age’ represents not only a stage of life, but also a ‘golden opportunity’ for Hong Kong’s future development. Looking ahead, the HKSAR Government will continue to promote the silver economy. With your professional expertise, creativity, and commitment, we will be better equipped to meet the needs of older adults and inject new momentum into the local economy.”

Exhibition Highlights Abound: Interactive Experiences Fostering Cross-Generational Inclusion
This year’s exhibition features the dedicated “Golden Age Bazaar,” bringing together a wide array of lifestyle essentials, wellness and health products, and smart home appliances, offering visitors an enjoyable shopping experience. The Interactive Experience Zone hosts a range of engaging activities, including a virtual triathlon e-sports challenge, air-gun target shooting, and a “Beyblade” workshop led by student “Beyblade Ambassadors,” putting cross-generational inclusion into practice. The Smart Care Lab sees students and golden-age participants co-developing product prototypes, while the Hong Kong International Healthy Ageing & Silver Age Robot Contest appoints 200 “Golden Judges”—real end-users—to evaluate entries from both student and corporate/professional categories, fully embodying the spirit of cross-generational co-creation. In addition, the exhibition has introduced over 30 guided tour groups, with participants from Hong Kong, mainland China, Japan, and Singapore, alongside group visits organised by 30 elderly service centres, further expanding international and community connections and fostering exchange of experience.
Experts Converge at Summit to Look Ahead at Smart Ageing Trends
Held alongside the exhibition, the summit’s discussions covered hot-button topics including the cross-border silver economy, applications of artificial intelligence, lifelong financial planning, and the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine.
