Dr. Ferrick Chu is currently the Executive Director (Operations) of the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC). He has joined the EOC since its establishment in 1996 and has assumed supervisory roles in different teams, including Disability Division, Complaint Services Division, and Policy, Research and Training Division.

Apart from his duties at the EOC, Dr. Chu contributes his expertise in equal opportunities issues in charities and government advisory bodies. He was appointed as the Honorary Consultant of The Hong Kong Epilepsy Association (2003-2013); Member of the Hong Kong Advisory Council on AIDS (2005-2011); Member of the Community Forum on AIDS (2011- present); Member of the Steering Committee on Mediation (2012-2015); Member of the Review Committee on Mental Health (2013-2017) and Member of the Advisory Committee on Mental Health (2021-present). He also serves on the Steering Committee of the C-for-Chinese@JC Project created and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.

Ms Ho is appointed the Secretary for Housing on 1 July 2022. Ms Ho joined the Government as Architect in 1992 and was promoted to Chief Architect in 2009, and to Government Architect in 2012. She was appointed the Director of Architectural Services in 2020. Apart from serving in the Architectural Services Department, Ms Ho had been posted to work as the Deputy Head of Energizing Kowloon East Office under the Development Bureau. During the out-break of COVID-19 in 2020 to 2022, she has actively participated in the construction of quarantine facilities, temporary hospitals and community isolation facilities at Penny’s Bay, Kai Tak and many other locations by adoption of Modular Integrated Construction method.

Ms Ho graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of The University of Hong Kong. She also attended the Advanced Management Program of INSEAD in France. She is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects and a Registered Architect.

Dr Carmen Ng is currently the Social and Elderly Wellness Director of the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS), overseeing the elderly housing and related services to assist the elderly to age in place. Before joining HKHS, Dr Ng had been the Head of Consumer Education of the Consumer Council, Secretary-General of the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund of the Labour and Welfare Bureau, Executive Director of the HK Alzheimer’s Disease Association, and Chief Operating Officer of the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association, where she assisted in developing new service models to respond to the changing needs of the elderly and the society at large.

Prof MO Kar Him is the Chairman and Co-founder of Happy Ageing Lab and an Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on the design and planning of housing, promoting a supportive and inclusive living environment for older adults. With a vision to translate academic research into implementable solutions, the Lab collaborates with public/private housing suppliers, property management companies and service providers to plan, design and deliver innovative housing prototypes through an evidence-based and participatory R&D process, creating a “House of Wellness” for all.
