Abstract
With Hong Kong’s ageing population placing increasing pressure on its healthcare system, sustainable and inclusive medical financing has become a critical public issue. This cross-sector panel brings together healthcare practitioners, academics, and insurance experts to unpack the evolving landscape of primary healthcare, preventive health checks, and financial coverage. Offering both macro-level policy perspectives and micro-level frontline insights, the session will explore how Hong Kong can develop a resilient and people-centered health system that ensures access, affordability, and high-quality care for older adults. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of how medical financing models can support healthier ageing in both theory and practice.
