Dr. LIU Xing obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. After that, he engaged in the technology and testing industry. In 2017, he joined BGI Group, a world-leading institution in life science, and is committed to providing affordable precision medicine and public health solutions for local society. In 2022, he was awarded the Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for his contributions during the epidemic. He is a Member of Chongqing Youth Federation. He serves as panelist of Expert Review Panel of Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre and public adviser of Panel of Film Censorship Advisers.

Prof Timothy Kwok graduated from University of Leicester in the UK and received specialist training in Geriatric and Internal Medicine in St George’s Hospital in London before returning to Hong Kong, to join the Department of Medicine & Therapeutics in the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 1994. He obtained his MD in 2004. He was promoted to professorship in 2006, and was endowed SC Ho Professorship in 2022. At CUHK, he is director of Jockey Club Centre for Positive Ageing (a comprehensive care centre for people with dementia), Jockey Club centre for osteoporosis care and control and Asia Pacific Institute of healthy ageing. His research interests include dementia, B vitamins for brain health, osteoporosis, falls, nutrition in older people.

Professor Peter P. Yuen is Dean of the College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He is also Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing of PolyU. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Master in Business Administration degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Economics from the University of Birmingham. He is a founding Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Health Services Executives, and an Honorary Fellow of the Australian College of Health Services Management. Professor Yuen’s research involves public policy formulation and evaluation, and health services management. He is also the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Public Administration and Policy, an Editorial Committee member of Asia Pacific Journal of Health Management.

Lijing L. Yan, PhD, MPH, Professor (with tenure) of Global Health and Head of Non-communicable Chronic Diseases (NCDs) Research at the Global Health Research Center, and Director of the Implementation Research on NCD Management Laboratory (IRoNman Lab), Duke Kunshan University. She is also currently adjunct professor at Peking University Institute for Global Health and Development; School of Public Health, Wuhan University; Duke Global Health Institute, Duke University, USA; and the Department of Preventive Medicine, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, Chicago, IL, USA. Previously, she was the Director of Graduate Studies for the Master of Science in Global Health Program at Duke Kunshan University, the Deputy Director of the George Institute for Global Health at Peking University Health Science Center, and Director of the China International Center for Chronic Disease Prevention, a large network of 5 international academic institutions and 7 Chinese institutions dedicated to combat NCDs in China. She is the former secretary general of the China Consortium of Universities for Global Health, and the current standing council member of the Global Health Society and the NCD Prevention and Control Society of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association. She has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Peking University, a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology and a doctoral degree in Demography from the University of California, Berkeley. Her main areas of research are primary-care and community-based chronic disease prevention and control (hypertension, stroke, heart disease, and diabetes in particular), healthy aging, digital health innovation and implementation science. She is the Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on over 20 US NIH and UK MRC-funded and China-funded research grants, totaling over 10 million US dollars. She has published over 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers some of which in leading medical journals such as JAMA, the Lancet, NEJM, BMJ, and Circulation. Her Google Scholar H-index is 60 and i10-index 132, total citations over 87,000 (as of March 2025). She also provides advice and consultancy to national and international organizations such as the China National Health Commission and World Health Organization.

Professor Wong is a scholar and specialist in Family Medicine, and a researcher in the field of cancer screening and prevention of chronic diseases. He is currently a Professor and Director of the Centre for Health Education and Health Promotion, Faculty of Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also the Associate Head and Dean of Students of the United College, CUHK. He has over 600 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, and has received over 15 international and local research awards for his studies. His expertise of “Colorectal Neoplasm”, “Mass Screening”, “Early Detection of Cancer” ranks in the top 0.055%, 0.095%, and 0.14% in the world, respectively. He is a leader of an international research group which is a global organization jointly participated by various Universities in the world. He has been co-chairman of the APRU Global Programme [NCD] for many years. In 2024, he was selected as a “Highly Cited Researcher” by Clarivate, an award which recognizes awardees as the pioneer in his field over the last decade, demonstrating significant and broad influence in one’s field of research.

He is currently the Chairman of the Association of the Pacific Rim Universities, NCD stream; Co-Chairman of the Grant Review Board, Health and Medical Research Fund, the Health Bureau; a member of the Medical Council of Hong Kong and its Education and Accreditation Committee; Editor-in-Chief in the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine; Convener of the Advisory Group on Hong Kong Reference Framework for Care of Diabetes and Hypertension in Primary Care Settings; Convener of the Advisory Group on Hong Kong Reference Framework for Preventive Care for Older Adults in Primary Care Settings; Convener of the Advisory Group on Hong Kong Reference Framework for Preventive Care for Children in Primary Care Settings ; Convener of Hong Kong Reference Framework for Life Course Preventive Care in Primary Healthcare; Convenor of the Hong Kong Reference Framework for common musculoskeletal problems; a member of the Expert Advisory Panel in Implementation Science of the Hong Kong SAR Government, a member of the Research Council of the Food and Health Bureau, and a member of the Health Promoting School Advisory Committee.

He is a reviewer of the Medical Research Council, United Kingdom; expert reviewer of the National Medical Research Council, Singapore; external examiners of doctoral thesis in the University of Malaya; and an external reviewer of the Public Policy Research Funding Scheme, Research Grant Council of Hong Kong. His enthusiasm to teaching has been well received by students and has been selected for the “Master Teacher” and the “Annual Teacher of the Year Award” for 7 years.

In 2016, he was conferred an Honorary Fellow by the Hong Kong Academy of Nursing to recognise his achievements in the profession and contributions to primary care. He has served as Editor of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine since December 2016; a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology; a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology; a Fellow and expert panel of the Academy of Translational Medicine, European Society of Translational Medicine; a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health in 2018; and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2019. He was appointed as an Adjunct Professor of Peking Union Medical College in March 2019; Adjunct Professor of Global Health by Peking University; and Adjunct Professor of Public Health, Fudan University.
