As caregiving needs grow, innovative platforms are emerging to better support caregivers and those in need of care. This session will explore how local and international caregiver platforms address these challenges by offering new support models, from digital tools to community-based solutions. Panelists will discuss how these platforms enable caregivers to provide more effective and compassionate care and the importance of global collaboration in sharing best practices. Attendees will gain insights into how these innovations are shaping the future of care.

Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Golden Age Foundation, Cindy holds positions within the Organising Committee of the Social Enterprise Summit and as a Senior Consultant for Great East Limited, a senior living and healthcare service consultancy. In these influential roles, she humbly utilizes her extensive experience and knowledge to make a positive impact on the community and contribute to the growth of the industry.
At the Golden Age Foundation, Cindy leads a compassionate team focused on transforming the challenges of aging into opportunities. With a genuine commitment to age neutrality and socio-economic sustainability, she and her team continuously explore innovative solutions to meet the unique needs of the golden generation. Through collaborative partnerships with various community sectors, Cindy actively contributes to the development of Asia's Smart Aging Cities.
Throughout her illustrious career, Cindy has played a crucial role in several notable projects. One outstanding endeavor is Cheerful Court, a pioneering senior living estate in Hong Kong. This comprehensive facility provides residential housing, clubhouse amenities, catering services, medical care, and rehabilitation facilities all in one convenient location. Cindy's expertise also contributed to the success of the HK Sheng Kung Hui Cyril and Amy Cheung Aged Care Complex, an upscale project that promotes a one-stop stroke rehabilitation transactional service. Additionally, she played a key role in the development of the Ventria Residence, a Medi-hotel senior living project catering to individuals seeking premium services and healthcare.
In addition to her project involvement, Cindy organized the Golden Age Expo and Summit, the first transformative event and interactive platform in Hong Kong dedicated to addressing the challenges of an aging population. This groundbreaking initiative brings together innovative technologies and experts from around the world to share their experiences and insights with the public, fostering awareness and understanding of aging-related issues.

Ms NG Yee-mei, Nora

Ms. NG Yee-mei, Nora is the Chief Executive of the Aberdeen Kai-fong Welfare Association Limited (AKA). AKA has all along strived to develop carer support services. Its pioneer project included the “Person with Dementia, Frail Elder and Caregiver Companion Project”, etc., which gained several awards with outstanding outcome. Ms. Ng is devoting to promote carer support services. Apart from consolidating the carer support services of different units of the Agency so as to allocate the resources effectively to achieve systematic and holistic service provision, she also demonstrates her envisioning power and identifies the great demand for carer support services in the community, and hence proactively develops services for providing support to the carers. She aims to align with the Government polices to help relieve the caring burden of carers who do not walk alone.


Mr PANG Wai Lun, Nigel

Graduated from HKAPA, Pang studied Pipa with Ms. Wong Chi-ching and Ms. Cheung Yim-yu. He also studied Ruan with Ms. Lei Qun-an. He was awarded scholarship by HSBC Hong Kong Bank Foundation to study Pipa in Beijing with Ms. Ren Hong. Whilst studying in secondary school, he also studied Pipa with Ms. Li Ying-wai and Ms. Li Ping.
In 2013, Pang won the Gold Award (International Group) in International Youth Pipa Competition organized by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation Training and Communication Center.
As a soloist, Pang performed with various orchestras in Hong Kong, including Lady Hua-Mulan in 2013 and The Conqueror Unarms in 2014 with Yao Yueh Chinese Music Association, The Moon Aloft in 2014 and Newly transcribed Excerpt in the Mode of Yu in 2015 with Wang Kwong Chinese Orchestra.
He also participated in different multi-media concerts and premiered In-between Play and Pluck, Harmony and Ode to Pipa.
Except performing in different concerts, Pang also participated in TV recording, popular music concerts and dramas. He has also performed in Slovakia, Japan, Taiwan, China and other places.

Mr Samuel Ng, BBM
Founder and CEO
MontfortCare
Samuel Ng, Founder and CEO of Montfort Care, has over 30 years of experience in Singapore’s social service sector. He established the Marine Parade Family Service Centre in 2000, which has since grown into Montfort Care, offering a wide range of services, including family service centres, a child protection specialist centre, a community kitchen, home care, and the National Anti-Violence and Sexual Harassment Helpline (NAVH). Samuel has held key roles, such as District Councillor at the South East Community Development Council. He also serves on the Advisory Panel of the Singapore University of Social Sciences. His contributions have been recognised with the Outstanding Social Worker Award and the Public Service Star, and he was named a trailblazer by the Ministry of Social and Family Development in 2023. Samuel’s book, Can I Hold You A While Longer?, reflects his advocacy for caregiver support, as he continues to showcase his leadership and dedication to the community.

Prof Gary LAU Kui Kai
Assistant Dean (Education Innovations) at the LKS Faculty of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong
Professor Gary Lau is currently Assistant Dean (Education Innovations), Clinical Associate Professor and Director of HKU Stroke at the LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. He has published >180 articles/book chapters on stroke and have developed a number of innovative platforms to improve the prevention and holistic management of stroke. He serves on a number of local and international committees relating to stroke and has received numerous prestigious awards such as a Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury from the International Exhibition of Inventions at Geneva, Future Leader Award from the World Stroke Organisation, Award for Patient-Oriented or Clinical Research in Hypertension from the American Heart Association and Smart Ageing Leader Award from the Golden Age Foundation, and selected as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons in Hong Kong in 2024.
