BNET-TECH aimed to reduce fall accidents. Most recent product "Fadelisy" - fall detection system is a fall detection and prevention sensor. By AI learning, it can learn different actions before and after the fall behaviour which can be a fall prevention system on different occasions. Our project is mainly focused in an accessible toilet environment since it is an enclosed space where it is hard to discover immediately when an accident happens. After the accident is detected by the system, it will trigger the alarm and send notification messages to the management parties for further rescue action.

It signifies the first step towards building a smart ecosystem for the elderly, where various stakeholders provide a diverse range of quality products and services. Established with the aim of giving ease, convenience and speed to elderly home operators, CaraMall commenced operation in November 2022 to serve the elderly care service industry in Hong Kong. With gratefulness to the donation from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, Christian Family Service Centre and The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care of the Chinese University of Hong Kong collaborate during the period of 2023 to 2025 in provision of free-of-charge services to middle-aged individuals in the Shatin and Kwun Tong Districts to increase their awareness of “lifestyle is the best medicine”. Behavioral science is applied to facilitate the participants to overcome barriers in changing daily habits. Along with 6-month non-pharmaceutical and personalized health coaching, tailored health-promoting classes and activities, as well as 24-hour digital health management, the participants will be living a more healthy lifestyle. Jockey Club Confront Pain with Ease Project is funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. The project is led by a community based interdisciplinary team with health care professionals, with the vision to empower patients with chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) pain, and are dedicated to providing Bio-Psycho-Social support and the promotion of pain related services. The project team pioneered the use of digital tools in pain management at community level. “CUHK Pain” – is a mobile application platform providing a one-stop pain management service. It is designed with the mission to enhance the overall ability of chronic MSK patients in managing pain. The app features tailored exercises demonstrated by professionals, as well as VR meditation and pain-related information.

To tackle the challenge of a continued ageing population in Hong Kong, a project named “Jockey Club Smart Ageing Hub” (the “Project”) was proposed by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to promote new gerontechnologies and to improve the service quality of residential care for the elderly. The proposal was included in the list of the HKSAR Chief Executive' s Community Project with a donation of HKD 47.95 million from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. The Project aims to establish a cross-disciplinary network, not only to raise the public’s awareness on gerontechnologies but also to connect stakeholders of elderly care (E.g. scholars, health care workers, residential care service providers, technology developers, caregivers, elderly…) and to share and exchange ideas for enhancing the quality of gerontechnology products and elderly care services.

Keep It Simple (RIP88), social enterprise founded in 2020, is committed to promote simple and solemn one-stop funeral and burial services. Driven by the motto “those who died could rest in peace whilst those who stay could be at ease”, RIP88 provides “5 Blessings” professional pre-planning service for elders so they could be better prepared for the future of their own ; and counseling service for bereaved families so their ‘physical, mental, spiritual and social’ wellbeings can be taken care of. RIP88 also consists of “Make Your Choice — Life and Death Education Hub”, which is opened to the public in the form of a life-and-death-themed bookstore. Through hosting life-and-death education events regularly, RIP88 strives to promote and build a more people-oriented funeral culture in the city.
