Professor BIAN Zhao-xiang is a leading expert in Chinese medicine clinical studies, a respected research scientist in the field of gut dysbiosis, and a relentless advocate for incorporating Chinese medicine into a holistic healthcare system.

Currently, Professor Bian Zhaoxiang holds these positions in the School of Chinese Medicine at HKBU: Associate Vice-President for Chinese Medicine Development; Director and Chair Professor of the Clinical Division; Director, Centre for Chinese Herbal Medicine Drug Development; Director, Chinese EQUATOR Centre; and Director, Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Clinical Study Centre. He also serves as an associate editor and editorial board member for many international peer review journals, including Trials, BMC-Complementary and Alternative Medicine, and Chinese Medicine.

Dr LUK has been a health care executive in the public sector for 31 years with a full range of exposure and track record on management of complex and big health care systems. He has worked in Hospital Authority Head Office for 10 years and then managed various public hospitals for 21 years. He was the Cluster Chief Executive of 3 different hospital clusters managing multiple number of hospitals like Queen Mary Hospital, Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, Kwong Wah Hospital and United Christian Hospital.

He has retired from Hospital Authority in 2021 and is currently the Vice Chairman and Chief of Medical Services of the Virtus Medical Group Limited.

Dr PANG Fei-chau is the current Commissioner for Primary Healthcare, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Health Bureau. He is the president of the Hong Kong College of Community Medicine. Dr Pang is an experienced health service executive and have been the Head of Human Resources of the Hospital Authority to provide strategic advice and leadership to the HR function of over 40 public hospitals. He was appointed as the member of the Elderly Commission of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region between 2015‐2019. He was the elected Council member of The University of Hong Kong in 2021/22.

Dr Hong FUNG is the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the CUHK Medical Centre (CUHKMC). CUHKMC is a private teaching hospital wholly owned by The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Dr FUNG is also a Professor of Practice in Health Services Management at the Jockey Club School of Public Health & Primary Care, CUHK, where he teaches health services planning, healthcare innovation and technology management, healthcare financing, communications and marketing, and decision-making in the School’s master and leadership programs.
