Abstract
Population ageing is emerging as a significant challenge on a global scale. How can a sustainable future be ensured for the Golden Agers? The Opening Forum will delve into ‘Sustainable Smart Ageing’, exploring the challenges and opportunities that the global elderly population will face in the future. Discussions will revolve around innovative sustainable lifestyles, including policy advocacy for the elderly, the development potential of the Golden Age Economy, impactful investment strategies, elderly healthcare, community development, and other related issues.

Wilson has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and held various leadership positions. Prior to joining BOC Life, Wilson was the Head of Insurance at Hang Seng Bank, and CEO and Director of Hang Seng Insurance Company Limited where he led life insurance, general insurance, medical insurance and MPF businesses. While working at HSBC Insurance in China, he took up the positions as Chief Actuary, Head of Investment, Director and Chairman of Asset and Liabilities Committee. He is a current non-official member of the Industry Advisory Committee on Long Term Business to Insurance Authority, the Chairman of Employers’ Federation of Hong Kong (Insurance Group), the member of the Hong Kong Management Association Insurance Management Committee, as well as the Committee member of the 2021 Election Committee Subsector Ordinary Election (Insurance).
Wilson is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. He graduated from University of Manitoba with a Master of Sciences Degree in Actuarial Mathematics.

Driven by a deep-seated belief that design can make the world a better place, Donald Choi is both architect and developer. Previously Managing Director of the Nan Fung Group, and a Director of Foster and Partners, Donald has worked on a large number of high profile public and private projects worldwide. He has also held multiple leadership roles in NGO and professional bodies that focus on community, design and innovation. He is currently the Board Chairperson of the Construction Innovation and Technology Application Centre and also a Board member of the Business Environment Council, Hong Kong Design Centre, Hong Kong Green Building Council and Habitat of Humanity HK.
Assoc Prof LEE Kheng Hock
Deputy CEO (Education and Community Partnerships), SingHealth Community Hospitals
In 2006, Assoc Prof Lee set up the first hospital-based family medicine department in Singapore. He is working towards creating a sustainable healthcare system for a rapidly ageing population. His work is validated by two landmark randomised control studies that proved the effectiveness of transitional care services in reducing unnecessary hospital utilisation.
In 2011, he was also appointed as the Medical Director of Bright Vision Hospital and had led the team to transform the hospital into Singapore’s first dedicated COVID-19 community isolation facility.
Assoc Prof Lee also teaches Family Medicine at the Duke-NUS Medical School Singapore. He incorporates patient-centred care and care integration into the Family Medicine curriculum. In 2022, Assoc Prof Lee was appointed as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Education and Community Partnerships), SingHealth Community Hospitals and he currently oversees the clinical training of three community hospitals.

Dr William T. SMITH
Chair, NGO Committee on Ageing at the United Nations in New York
Dr. William T. Smith is the Chair of the NGO Committee on Ageing at the United Nations in New York and President/CEO of Aging in America, Inc. With over 53 years of experience in social work and gerontology, he has led various non-profit agencies. Dr. Smith is an esteemed expert in gerontology, recognized for his significant contributions to the field. He was a delegate to the 2005 White House Conference on Ageing. Dr. Smith received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor 2006 for his dedication to community service. Active in professional associations, he has influenced long-term care policies in the USA through national committees and advisory boards.
A certified social worker, licensed nursing home administrator, and certified retirement housing professional, Dr. Smith holds a Ph.D. in Social Work from Fordham University. He has held key roles at healthcare organizations and universities, showcasing his dedication and achievements to the field.

Dr Lanning TIAN
President, Senior Service Informatics Innovation Research Center

Dr. Lanning Tian has a Ph.D. in Health and Welfare Management, International University of Health and Welfare (IUHW). And she graduated with Master’s Degree from Depaul University in the United States, majoring in Information System Management. She is fluent in English, Chinese and Japanese. She was once the Director of IT Department in Social Welfare Centre and led the National Information System for Aged Services funded by the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
In 2014, she founded SSIDC Senior Services Informatics Innovation Research Center and the Zhongguancun SSIDC Smart Health and Senior Care Industrial Alliance. She is also the editor-in-chief of the “Empower the Next Stage of Life” book series. Dr. Lanning Tian is an advocate for the concept of “The Third Life”.

CEO, Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA)
Roberto Zamora ZOZOBRADO is a seasoned tourism veteran with extensive corporate and academic achievements in the Philippines. His expertise spans the tourism industry, with leadership roles at Hyatt Regency Manila, Thomas Cook, and airlines. Zozobrado also held prestigious industry positions, such as PR Consultant for Macau, Chairman of PATA Philippines, and President of the Tourism Congress of the Philippines. Alongside teaching at institutions like St Scholastica's College and LPU, he has received numerous industry and teaching awards. Zozobrado currently serves as CEO of the Philippine Retirement Authority and Board Member of the Israel Chamber of Commerce. He is a national columnist sharing his expertise weekly.
Mrs Rebecca CHOY YUNG

Mrs. Rebecca CHOY YUNG is a business entrepreneur turned social entrepreneur. Rebecca was a pioneer of the convention and exhibition industry in Hong Kong and China since the early 1980s. Before running her own exhibition business, Rebecca was an editor.
Since changing her career path over 15 years ago, Rebecca has devoted her full effort to promoting social innovation in Hong Kong and Greater China. She has orchestrated several movements which have brought real changes to society, including the Golden Age, business for good and education innovation. Rebecca is Founder & Chair of Golden Age Foundation; Founder & Vice-Chair of Education for Good; Co-Founder & Convener of Ednovators, Chair of Social Enterprise Summit, Co-Founder of Dream Impact and B Lab (HK & Macau). She is also advisor of a number of social enterprises and committee member of NGOs, a writer and a radio programme host. Rebecca received her B.SoSc. from Bristol University, UK and EMBA from Chinese University of Hong Kong.
